Do Not Mix Up Your Sox

 

Happy Tuesday people, I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful British summer for those in the UK. For those elsewhere in the sun…. pfft!!

Today I have once again 2 games I am interested in putting my not so hard earned cash on… and they are as follows.

First up I really like the match up that Tampa Bay have this evening. They start with their star pitcher David Price who has a great 6-2 record at home with an ERA of 2.25. I feel that if he pitches anywhere near this level then he will not need the Tampa offence to score many runs to over power the Cleveland Indians. The Indians start pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez who had a nightmare in his last start and only lasted 2 innings before being sent home to have a think about his life! Hopefully Jimenez can help Tampa score some runs for Price to protect. Price will be bouyed by his last start against a good Red Sox offence, pitching 7.1 innings and getting the win comfortably.

 

Onto game 2

I watched the Red Sox tear the White Sox a new one last night, beating them 10-1 at Fenway Park, so you may all think i’m insane now when I say i’m tipping up the White Soxn is match tonight! Lets me explain…….

Games between these teams often yield plenty of runs as both have explosive offences, therefore pitching is key for me here. I always think better pitching is of greater value than good hitting, much like good defence in the NFL beats good offence!

With that in mind I really like the White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana. He has a 2-0 raod record and a decent 3.48 ERA. On the other side of the game the Bo-Sox start Clay Buchholz who has a decent win record but he has been helped out by an offence covering for his ERA which is a fairly high 5.40. I’m hoping that the White Sox can punish Buchholz tonight and win us some more cash!

Don’t forget… DO NOT MIX UP YOUR SOX!! We all know what a mess it makes when sox get mixed in the wash!
