Kentucky @ Mississippi St (Ky -10, 138.5)

The Pick: Mississippi St +10

Kentucky has emerged as the most dominant team in college baketball over the last couple of weeks; they’ve now won 18 in a row and are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games. However, tonight they face their stiffest test since they went on the road to play Indiana (their only loss) and, in my opinion, they’re giving too many points. Mississippi State is a good team, they’ve got an excellent point guard in Dee Bost and Arnett Moultrie is a force inside; he leads the SEC in rebounding (10.8 rpg) and is fourth in scoring (16.5 ppg). Renardo Sidney is another quality low-post player, but he’s questionable for tonight with back spasms. The Bulldogs have lost their last 3 games, which is probably why the number is a little inflated, but two of those losses were in overtime and the last two were on the road. Tonight they get the #1 team in the country on their home floor, so you can bet the folks in Starkville will be ready to blow the roof off the gym. I expected the number in this game to be 7 or 8 and I still think it may come off 10, but I’m at the Wynn Las Vegas right now and they still have it at 10, so I’m jumping on. Tonight I recommend a 2-unit play on Mississippi St.
